What is the Account Summary?
When you signup as a buyer or provider, an Elance Account is automatically set up for you. Elance Account is used to hold earned or deposited funds. You can have a balance on your Elance Account in the following scenarios:
- If you have been paid for work performed on Elance as a provider.
- If you have deposited funds into your Elance Account via check, ACH or Wire Transfer (in order to pay providers or pay Elance fees.)
- If you were refunded any amount for your project as a buyer.
In the Account Summary area, the 'Account Number' is the 15 digit unique number that references your account. 'Available' balance shows the amount that can be withdrawn. 'Total' balance includes any pending transaction amounts. This area also shows the PrePaid Subscription balance that you may have -- which will be used to pay Provider Membership Fees. Click here for more information about Prepaid Subscription Balance.
You can also 'Deposit Funds' to increase your Elance Account balance or initiate the process to 'Withdraw Funds' to your preferred account (i.e., your bank account).
Please go to the Billing and Payment Help page to learn more about depositing or withdrawing funds.
